Dental implants continue to revolutionize modern dentistry, and the Trefoil system represents the next step forward. While many are familiar with solutions like All-on-4, All-on-6, and zygomatic implants, the Trefoil system offers a unique and efficient alternative—specifically designed for the lower jaw.
The Trefoil implant system uses three strategically placed implants in the lower mandible, supporting a customized, pre-manufactured titanium bar. This bar provides a stable foundation for your new set of teeth, which are securely attached on the same day as the implant surgery.
The most important factor for Trefoil implants is having sufficient bone in the lower jaw (mandible). If you have adequate bone volume, you may be an ideal candidate for this advanced treatment.
The process begins with a CBCT (Cone Beam CT) scan, which provides a detailed 3D image of your jawbone. This allows your implantologist to accurately assess bone quantity and quality. Based on the results, a personalized Trefoil implant plan will be created.
On the day of surgery, three implants are strategically placed in the lower jaw. A pre-manufactured titanium bar is then precisely fitted onto these implants, providing a strong and stable base for your new teeth.
After the titanium bar is securely fitted onto the implants, impressions and bite records are taken directly over the bar. These are then sent to a specialized dental lab for fabrication of your final prosthesis.
Because the bar is pre-manufactured and precisely engineered, no trial fitting is required. This streamlined process allows you to receive your final set of teeth on the same day as the surgery, giving you a fully functional and aesthetic smile immediately.
