All-on-Four implants have evolved over time—not merely as an invention, but as a refined surgical technique that blends science and artistry to restore beautiful smiles in patients with an edentulous maxilla or mandible.
The All-on-Four concept involves using four implants to support a full arch of 10 to 14 teeth. It is especially valuable for patients with compromised bone, pneumatized sinuses, or insufficient bone quality in the posterior regions, where conventional implant techniques may not be feasible.
The system consists of two implants placed vertically in the anterior region of the maxilla, while the two posterior implants are angled forward from the back of the jaw toward the front. The bridge is then supported over these four implants.
The All-on-4 protocol is a graftless solution, eliminating the need for lengthy and costly bone grafting procedures often required with traditional implant techniques.
The posterior implants are strategically angled so they end just in front of the sinus cavities in the maxilla and before the mental foramen in the mandible, allowing them to emerge near the second premolar area. This positioning provides strong cantilever support for the molar region.
